Castlegregory Golf Links offers the most affordable links golf in Kerry — a relaxed and scenic nine-hole (played as 18) course set on the narrow spit of land that divides Tralee Bay from Brandon Bay on the northern edge of the Dingle Peninsula. The course is open, windswept and characterful, playing at just 5,800 yards to a par of 70, and providing a friendly welcome to golfers of all abilities without formality or expense.

The natural setting at Castlegregory is quite extraordinary — the course occupies a thin sandbar peninsula with water visible on both sides, and views extending to the Brandon Mountain massif, the Slieve Mish Mountains and the open waters of Tralee Bay. The golf itself is unpretentious but genuinely enjoyable, with the wind providing a constant challenge that levels the playing field between scratch golfers and high handicappers. Greens are small, firm and quick — a reminder that this is seaside golf at its most natural.

At €25–€35 per round, Castlegregory is the most economical links round in Kerry and represents superb value for golfers on a budget or looking for a relaxed warm-up round before tackling the county's premium courses. The club is informal and welcoming with no handicap requirement. The nearby Camp and Castlegregory villages offer simple accommodation and excellent seafood, and the route to the course along the northern Dingle Peninsula provides some of Kerry's most spectacular coastal scenery.
